Chapter 6

Install the Agent on a PC

Each gaming PC needs a small app installed (the LANBear Agent) before it can be paired to a Device record and show up on the floor.

  1. From your Owner Dashboard, click Download Client and run it on the gaming PC. The installer's setup wizard asks which role to install: pick Agent only (this same download also installs Vault, so double-check you're on the right option). See the Agent Setup Guide for the full walkthrough of this step.
  2. Back on the Center panel's Devices list, find the Device record you created for that PC and run Pair Agent. This shows a short pairing code, valid for 10 minutes.
  3. On the PC itself, open the Agent app and enter that code when prompted.

Note

Once pairing succeeds, that Device's row shows a Paired badge. If the code expires before you get to it, just run Pair Agent again for a fresh one. Nothing is lost.

Repeat this for every PC on the floor. Each one pairs to its own Device record, so make sure you're entering the code shown for the PC you're actually sitting at.
