Troubleshooting
"Windows protected your PC" on first run
Expected on a fresh install. Click "More info," then "Run anyway."
Technician Settings won't accept the PIN
Almost always means no real PIN has been saved yet in Center Settings, see Chapter 4. Also: 3 wrong attempts locks the prompt for 5 minutes.
Setup screen won't accept the Server URL
Plain http:// only works for localhost or a private LAN address. Anything reachable over the public internet needs https://.
Devices list shows "Not Paired"
The client hasn't completed setup on that PC yet, or was re-paired away from this Device. Run Pair Agent again and walk through Chapter 3.
Locked out of the machine by a security feature
Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F12 always gets you out. It asks for the technician PIN first once a real one is set, same as Technician Settings. See Chapter 6.
